The restoration of an Art Nouveau market building (1916), closed in 1985 and in a very dilapidated state. The project involved extensive restoration and stabilisation of the structure while providing 4 new underground levels, 3 of which for much needed parking.

The ground level market remains spacious, open and light, with new commercial spaces enclosed in glass boxes spaced out down the 2 sides of the market. The renewed market has revived the area providing much needed commercial and service activities.The commercial and cultural activity generated has allowed the recovery of this important historic Valencian market building and the revitalisation of its surroundings.
